Who is responsible for line clearance trimming the electric lines around your house?
That depends on the line.
High voltage lines are always the responsibility of the electric company whose power they carry. Only authorized, line clearance trained personel should ever trim around high voltage power lines. Working around any electric lines is a deadly serious issue, high voltage lines can kill instantly, and must be respected.
Untrained, unathorized trimmers are required to keep themselves, their gear, and anything they cut a minimum of ten feet away from the power lines. And as the voltages go higher, so do the minimum separation distances.
Low voltage lines are a different case.
You as the homeowner are responsible for maintaining your service drop. Usually this means from the point ten feet away from the transformer and high voltage lines to your electric meter, or the weatherhead on your house.
